Plex Shortcut (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

Yet another windows 10 migration need a new Media Centre noob here...

So I installed MP1, works perfectly and I love it, not sure why I didn't switch years ago but there you go, great product, i'm looking forward to spending many happy years with it.

There is just one thing I would like to be able to do that was in my WMC setup, and that's a plex shortcut on the main menu. I've thus far been unable to figure it out or find any posts that tell me how too, sorry if plex is a dirty word round here or anything, but it's incumbent in my setup and I love it also.

I've installed something that has given me some configuration of the titan skin (Titan Extended I think) that's let me customise what's there really nicely, but doesn't obviously let me add a plex shortcut.

Any help would be most appreciated, I really like mediaportal and this would give me everything I had previously with WMC.

Hello, I have no idea why do you need to launch Plex from MediaPortal or WMC but you could try MultiShortcut plugin https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/multishortcut-plugin.75305/ or MyMenu.
I've never use them myself unfortunately.

I use multishortcut to run kodi..prefer those plugins over onlinevideos..

I am doing the same thing as you. I had 5 WMC7's runnnig with Plex, Netflix, MCEbuddy and Playon and am working on switching to MP.
I wanted to link to Plex until I installed Moving Pictures and MP-TVSeries plugins.

They give you all the same information with 2 major pluses I have found so far.
1) You do not leave one program and run another. I hated that when playing shows I had to use different controls. (FF in MCE is >>, in Plex it is right arrow)

2) When MP gets the TV show information it displays ALL episodes and colors ones you do not have and just clicking play it goes out and gives you a list of ones available to play from streaming sites so you can still watch them (HUGE plus)

The one down side I have found so far is Plex gave you the way to play the who;e series or a year at once back to back and I do not see it on PM yet
