Plugin: convert recordings to DIVX in the background (1 Viewer)

Thought a about a plugin that converts recordings in the background...

This could be usefull especially when you record and collect several series and want to save storage capacity!!

What do you think? Unfortunatly I cannot develop such a plugin.. But I would love to have it ;-)

That sounds like a good idea.

it would be nice to select programs at record time that are to be converted as soon as recording is complete or manually select programs, movies or DVDs to convert (ok.. so a plugin similar to Auto Gordian knot or something). The plugin should have a queue and just keep processing till the queue is empty and start up whenever a new item is added.

It could fit programs on CDs or DVDs like AutoGK does so you can save them to CD-R/DVD+-R. Fit TV episodes on 1/2 a CD, a full CD, 2 or 3 CDs etc.

I'd even settle for a plugin where you just select recorded shows you want to compress and the quality/size. It would be a start anyway.
Integration with the record feature could be added later.

i'm already recording using divx 5.2 encoder with ffdshow and i looking to ajust compression settings... any ideas?
