Plugin for turn on or turn off LCD TV (1 Viewer)

Is any solution yet? I thinking about remote controler for TV that I can set it that the MP can contol key or simulate for power on remote control (MCE remote). Now I use two remote, one for MP and the other for power on TV.

Fully separate from MP itself - Logitech remotes (and sure others) do this - I've NOT made it work, but the TV I have isn't listed on the Logitech list of devices and I lost will to live trying to work it out (sequential selection of input source and may or may not be left on XboX by my son, so turning TV on isn't as simple as turing the TV on

You also should look at IRSS, and the associated forums for help.

Yes some of the MCE remotes can learn the IR code for on/off from your tv remote.

Alternatively you can set up an IR blaster to blast the tv then have the IR blaster software send the command based on a command from your PC's IR remote.

Some TVs can be turned on + off via CEC codes sent with HDMI 1.3 , MP doesn't support this functionality.

Also, need TV which supports CEC codes.

Hello, a lot`s of posts about MP crashing MP Client when HDMI-TV is switched on or off. This posts reaching back to 2006. Is there a solution in April 2014? What is the problem to solve it?
