Plugin request: Lovefilm, movie rental site (1 Viewer)

So has anyone attempted this ? I know that ther eis a mce plugin availbale for lovefilm, maybe if there exists a mce plugin for mediaportal adaptor, we can use that

I got pretty close to making an OnlineVIdeos plugin for it.

I managed to list the videos on LoveFilm by genre etc and managed to login by sending the username/password via a browser link but got stuck somewhere and forgot about it.

I'm not a developer though and fairly useless at that kind of thing.

I think the answer is basically no... nobody is working on it. Although it would be great. Lovefilm have an API which I singed up for but it only allows you to add rentals to your DVD list etc, not watch online rentals.

I've never developed anything in mediaportal, or onlinevideos, but I'm willing to give it a try. Maybe we could pool our efforts and try and continue your plugin ? (I did learn some programing at some point, just I have nothing to do with html/php, which I suppose you need for this ... ).

They do have an API now, so it should be possible to create a MediaPortal plugin. They stream in Flash AFAIK, but here in Denmark they only offer 123 movies for streaming (123!) so haven't really bothered looking into it. Rental through mail is not my cup of tea (in these digital ages).

How many do they offer in the UK?

Quite a few: Watch Online - Index | LOVEFiLM

Although there looks like a lot of TV Series' there as well...

edit: 3,900 titles for films http://www.lovefilm.com/browse/film/watch-online/films/ so a lot more worthwhile than the 123 offering to Denmark!
