Ive made a start, have a halfway finished config window... when thats done ill start implementing the gui stuff.

The way ive slated it to go at this point is that you define platforms, then the plugin helps you define the games associated to each platform. The platform indicates wether an emulator is needed, what emulator, any arguments applied to it. There will be a default "Windows" platform, which will just run an executable essentially.

Database will hold game data, synopsis, cover-art, background for each game, logos for platforms, ratings.

I need somewhere that has a serious amount of game data that I can get this off, or someway to do this sensibly.

other thing: i would say... forget the game idea... there is already MyEmulators... it does the same jobs or a part of it and its cool!

I would really like a plugin that turns of home screen so that MP only uses Basic Home. When pressing "h" on your keyboard, or the Green Button on your MCE remote will always take you to basichome.xml (or another .xml of your choice).

Because this isn't really possible right now, is it? Or can you set your Green Button to a single hyperlink like that in Remote configuration?

It would be great to sea a Mediaportal version of the XBMC plugin XOT-UZG (Bas Rieter Webservices - XOT-Uzg v3.2.0b2 (XBMC Uitzendinggemist))
I dont know if it is possible, to convert a XBMC plugin?
Yes i know that there is already a TVgemist plugin, but XOT-UZG has much more options and channels (southpark channel, De Lama's Channel Swedish channel 123video.nl channel etc

Another cool plugin would be:

Batch conversion plugin of all thumbs to .png files with rounded corners and transparency to get this look:

It would scan your media folders (not photos) upon request (or startup optionally) and convert all .jpg files (optionally backup .jpg's).
