Been a while since I was last here. I was using version 0.2 I think. Just upgraded to V1 RC3. Really nice work. This is a general comment and question post.
I played around with the new version and had a handful of debug crash messages pop up. Is there somewhere to put these? I do not want to repost something already reported.
I am still amazed the default start menu is still a challenge to get the mouse over the menu item you want without it rotating to something else, drives my wife nuts. I have defaulted to the simple start with stationary menu items, that works well.
One thing that really got me stuck was the new installer and the TV options. I just wanted to run my TV card locally but somehow got stuck with the TV-server thing being installed and from then on I could not open Mediaportal until I either set the TV-server thing up or un-installed it. All I wanted was to try the TV card in Mediaportal which was not in my last version. Man I got into hole and could not get out. Once over this delay the basic TV plugin worked a treat. Really, Really nice.
Some of the menu items through the various parts of Mediaportal on the standard skin do not work. Where would I report those?
Actually found the Electric Lead (electric blue) 1.03 beta skin sharp and simple, in the 16:9 sellection it was a standout. Even has additional TV controls which was unexpected. However some of the main menu items in the simple startup screen do not link to the component, actually link to other menu buttons. I would assume the best place to talk about those are from the forum link in the plugin menu.
