Power Schedule Not Working (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

Firstly hello, I've been working with MCE for some years now. Recently I re-visited Media Portal and was surprised by the progress since I last looked. (Well done !!)

I've now replaced MCE with Media Portal running on Win7.

Everything works perfectly except the power schedule. For some reason the powerschedule ++ plugin does not wake the system for recording.

Secondly, I disabled the power button on the MCE remote and mapped the green button to Sleep. Even though I think I have all the settings correct they system goes to S3 even when recording (I was expecting Away mode until recording complete then S3)


This is a single seat dedicated HTPC sat under my telly, so far I've check BIOS settings and configuration in powerschedule in the TVServer but I can't find whats wrong.

Any Suggestions ?

You will need to post logs so that people can look at what is happening on your system.

Yep I can do that, presumably If I set a record going then press my green button as it is configured now then post the log. Is that correct?

Question is where is the log you want to see?


Sorry mp is all new to me ATM

I think I've found the log - looks like PowerScheduler do not even get a say in it !

Ok Lets hope I got this right.

I started in debug, asked the system to record the current program, went to home screen then pressed green (Mapped to Suspend). The system went into S3. Powered back up and exited MP - log posted here

Like I said in the OP it should have gone to away mode and doesn't wake for recording. When I was running MCE it would wake and shut correctly so I've obviously configured something wrongly.

Hi there and welcome

Unfortunately I do not know the PowerScheduler++ plugin, but I am also not sure that the plugin dev will notice your problem here.

And if not, just drop a reply in that thread asking if the dev can have a look at your problem and logs in this thread.

We should try to fix your problems one after the other. What I could see from the logs is that - as you already reported - your away mode is not working. This might result from using MCE before, but this is only speculation... One way to find it out is to call "powercfg /qh | more" on the command prompt and see if the policy "Allow away mode" is set for the active power scheme. If not you have to set it manually.
If this is too complicated for you I would recommend you to change to PS++ alpha version (1.2.5.4) which cares for this automatically (just select "Plug&Play mode", choose your profile and "Apply").
Anyway - after fixing the "allow away mode" setting, going to away mode while recording should work. If not, please send logs again.
