As topic, when I´m trying to use PowerDVD 8 codecs to play DVD-files in MP the whole computer freezes up after a few secounds. DVD-playback works great in PowerDVD, but when playing through MP everything locks up and I have to restart the computer.

What could be the cause of this?

Edit: I guess I also should say that I´m using the PowerDVD 8 codecs for H.264-playback and this works perfect in some movies and in some the picture gets all pixely and weird. Could I perhaps have bad PowerDVD-codecs? Have tried a few versions thou, and the problem remains.

Edit: This is how the pixly artifacts look, althou in real they´re a bit more sharp.
I really want hardware acceleration to work :/

Have also noticed that some 720p files (mkv) does not even play, sound plays fine, but the picture´s just black.
Please help, someone must be familiar with the PowerDVD 8 - codec.

Terribly sorry. Running a integrated AIT HD3200 with the lates catalyst drivers 8.11 drivers. So i guess it´s the drivers fault.
Do you have any idéa of what drivers that might work? Or is it just trail and error install/uninstall?

Thanks for the thread Paranoid Delusion, but even thou I followd everything, uninstalled all codecs, uninstalled catalyst and installed the version recommended. The problem remains. Still getting the exakt same pixly artifacts. Is it any change an even older codec could work?

Edit. Wrote in the thread you linked, so hopefully hoborg will answer :)
