I installed PowerDVD 8 today (upgrade from 7) but the DVD Navigator isn't showing in:

MP Configuration --> DVD --> DVD Codecs --> DVD Navigator

With PowerDVD 7 you can choice Cyberlink DVD Navigator (PDVD7) but PowerDVD 8 doesn't show up :(

Anybody else who recognizes this or has the solution?? TNX :)

Can you check the complete name for the Cyberlink DVD navigator with grahpedit? I would guess that it's CyberLink DVD Navigator (PDVD8) but I need someone who actually has the PowerDVD 8 to make sure that it's the correct name for it.

    Hi,
have you also notice that there is no entry under "DirectShow Filter Control" under MP Configuration for PowerDVD8 codecs? I have try the testversion of PowerDVD and cant see the settings.

Yes, I didn't touch that part of the config. Dman should have a look on that since he has been working on that area before. In the mean time you can configure the Cyberlink codecs under PowerDVD's settings.

Doesn't really work, the PDVD codec creates a registry folder for each application using the filter. Just had a quick look and it seems that 7&8 uses the same folder for settings. Only difference is that PDVD8 has more options, such as output audio via HDMI in Vista(?).

It was disabled on purpose. Currently we arent supporting CyberLink DVD8 navigator as its not working even in the GraphEdit (some DVDs do work, but most of the DVDs doesnt seem to work). Its better for users & the team if we dont get huge amount of DVD playback related bug reports when we already know that the navigator has some issues.
