Hi Guys,

One quick question (I have read the Wiki guides but want to be clear).

Do you have to have Mediaportal open in order for TV Engine Powersheduler to suspend, wake up and record programmes? I'd prefer it if TV Engine did its thing in the background on its own without the need for Mediaportal to be open at all.

Thanks in advance. Brilliant software this is.

    Hi,

You can safely close MediaPortal. TVEngine3 will still control all standby/resume operations in singleseat mode.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

Ok, thanks, that what I was hoping for.

To date, TVEngine has been suspending but not waking up my computer to do recordings (that were scheduled via Mediaportal) but I assume I haven't set things up properly, I'll try again.

Actually I've fixed a (big) bug in PS today, where only recordings of type "Once" woke up the computer properly. You might want to wait a bit and pick up the next public SVN snapshot if your recording was of some other type than a "Once" recording.

It's already in SVN, any snapshot from after 02-04-2007 should contain the fix
