PowerScheduler: Network Monitor doesn't prevent system from hibernating (1 Viewer)

I'm using the build-in PowerScheduler Plug-In in both, MediaPortal and TV server in a single seat setting (MP and TV server are on the same machine).

I've posted my issue already here and here, but I couldn't find help.

I've activated the Network Monitor Function within the TV-server PowerScheduler plug-in in order to prevent my system to enter hibernation in the case of network traffic (e.g., I'm downloading TV recordings off my htpc to my laptop). However, this doesn't seem to work as my machine is always entering hibernation after 30 minutes even though there is network traffic way above the trigger value of 2 KB/sec.

From what I can see, all other functionality of the PowerScheduler Plug-in seem to work: I've tested the following:
  • system wakes up every night for grabbing WebEPG data
  • HTPC wakes up for scheduled recordings and goes to sleep afterwards
  • HTPC doesn't go to sleep while watching video
  • HTPC goes to sleep after the defined idle time of 30 minutes in the case of inactivity

Please find attached my debugging-logs. You can find the "normal" MP and TV-server logs as well as screenshots of my settings here.

My current MP version is 1.1.1; however, I suffered from the same problem in 1.1.0

Cheers,

Greg

For some inexplicable reason, the .NET Framework fails while retrieving performance data from the registry.

Can you verify that you can monitor network performance in Performance MMC?

Some locale issue with the code?

I wouldn't be surprised, but unfortunately this is .Net Framework code, not ours :(

AW: PowerScheduler: Network Monitor doesn't prevent system from hibernating

Sorry guys, I've been doing some business traveling and I just arrived back yesterday evening.

I'm not sure whether I follow your discussion. What shall I do/check on my htpc? For instance, arion_p, what do you mean with "Can you verify that you can monitor network performance in Performance MMC"?

    Cheers,

    Greg

For some reason performance counter may be disabled in your system.

The PowerScheduler plugin uses theese performance counters to retreive current network traffic.

Check the 2nd link I posted in previous post, the article explain how to enable the performance counters.
