I'm having a problems with the PowerScheduler. It is not waking up my HTPC from Standby to enable a recording to be made. Well actually it appears to wake up but then goes back to sleep before the time of the recording, see logs

Resume time before recording is 5 minutes.
Idle time is 15 minutes.
Start recording 5 minutes before sheduled time.

    Hi surfermc,

can you please switch on "extensive logging" in the Powerscheduler Configuration, reproduce the failure once again and post then the log files. :)

    Hi Bavarian,

I hope the attached shed some light on the problem. If you need more infomation let me know. I have changed the times for shutdown and startup from those in the original post

I have adjusted the timings of the PowerScheduler so that Resume time before recording is 1 minutes. This seems to have overcome the problem, of the machine waking up and then closing down before the recording has started. Not a fix but atleast it is workable.

the root cause of the problem is coming from a hibernation call outside of MP just before the recording is starting.

Do you have set up some applications outside of MP which sends the PC to hibernation?

    Bavarian,

Thanks for the update. I don't know of any applications outside of MP that are set to send the PC into hibernation. I will investigate thanks for the pointer.

The only time the machine goes into standyby is when the PowerScheduler in MP is enabled. Otherwise it stays on all the time.

    Bavarian,

I can confirm that I have no applications outside MP which send the PC to hibernation. PC only hibernates when MP is running with PowerScheduler activation.
