MediaPortal Version: 1.0 RC1
MediaPortal Skin: Monochrome
Windows Version: Windows Media Center 2005

Powerscheduler won't work unless I have the home screen of Media Portal selected. I want to use this feature combined with a master/slave power box to let Media Portal shutdown my pc, reciever and tv when a movie has ended and I'm not selecting another movie. Is it possible to let powerscheduler also work if you have a submenu selected like my movies or a plugin like my tv series?

Where do I disable that option? Can't find it in powerscheduler or in the configuration screen.

Are you using TVServer if you are then you are looking at TVServer config\plugins\powerscheduler and MPConfig\plugins\powerscheduler client.

    If no TVServer, the MPConfig\plugins\powerscheduler.

I'm not using TV server, I went to MPConfig\plugins\Powerscheduler but... it looks different from your screenshot.

Am I using an old version? I am running the latest MediaPortal.

Which version of MP are you using, looks like 0.2.3.0

It's not possible, if you select powerscheduler to run on all screens it will shutdown after its pre-determined time, if Mouse\keyboard\remote activity during the default shutdown time set in powerscheduler, it will reset clock, but you really don't want to do that during movie\music etc.

Sorry did not read first post, that's why i did not give you answer straight away.

    Thanks for the help!

Is there any other way then to shutdown my computer a set amout of minutes after MediaPortal has finished playing a movie?

Edit: After reinstalling the plugin still shows the old way, just like in my screenshot.

No, but it would be great if someone developed a plugin for doing exactly this, so you could set end of TV program\movie file\Playlist to automatically shutdown x minutes after finish.

Yeah that would be great, If only I had the knowledge to develop a plugin like that.

Hi, consider trying this program posted by Peter Pan.

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/development-91/two-tools-save-energy-20609/

    I found Idleshutdown extremely helpful.

You can run the program on windows startup, but there is a need to calibrate the settings for your setup though.

Run mediaportal in windowed and view the baseline stats when recording and when idle.

Adjust the conditions to meet your requirements and you're done.
( playing mp3 files require very very little resources. Had my HTPC suspend when playing mp3 files and had to tweak the settings a bit )
