Some programmes such as current affairs and sport have a time-limited relevance, so for these programmes I leave the files in the "Recordings" folder (in MP1), and employ the record, watch, delete methodology. For other programmes such as drama that I may wish to keep for some time, I move the recordings once a week to a folder tree in MP1's "Videos" section. This folder tree is defined by me, and for drama I do indeed have 26 folders with names "A" to "Z" in which I store the recordings. Within each of those folders I have a separate folder for each drama series, plus a "@Singles" folder for single dramas (the "@" in the name makes it appear at the top of the list). This arrangement is to avoid having too many files in any single folder. I don't know whether MP2 has a similar concept to MP1, i.e. separate "Recordings" and "Videos" folders. If it does, using the "Videos" section as described above might avoid the problem with the "Recordings" folder. But I appreciate that this is not the way that you have used MP2 so far, and you might find it difficult to adapt to a different way of working. -- from CyberSimian in the UK
