MP1 does not have any facility for moving recordings from one folder to another :(. I don't know whether MP2 has a way of doing this. o_O Once a week I get a keyboard out and manually create folders as required, and then move relevant recordings from the "Recordings" folder to the appropriate folders in the "Videos" section. There are three files to move for each recording (TS, JPG, and XML). In MP1, the user specifies the "root" folder of each folder tree that he wants included in the "Videos" section (example: "E:\Drama"). Multiple such folders can be specified (this allows "Videos" to be spread over multiple physical disks if necessary). All subfolders within those top-level folders are found automatically by MP1, and so do not need to be specified individually -- you simply create the subfolders and MP1 will find them. The final action required is to clean-up TV Server's list of files in the "Recordings" folder, i.e. get TV Server to delete the entries for the recordings that have been moved to "Videos". Although MP2 uses MP1's TV Server, I don't know how (or whether) it is possible to do this in MP2. It would be great if the media-center software could handle all of this automatically, but MP1 and MP2 don't. So this manual house-keeping is required if you think that you might end up with a large collection of recordings (which is what has happened to me :D ). -- from CyberSimian in the UK
