First thing to say is that I use MP1, whereas I believe that you use MP2. @ge2301 has just posted that MP2 has a "folder view" in addition to the "library view", so you should be able to set up your system as I describe below, but the details will differ. In MP1, the folders that are to appear on the "Videos" panel are defined in "MP Config". Example: The name in the "Name" column is the name that appears on the "Videos" panel, while the "Folder" column shows the folder that the name maps to. The names in these columns can be the same or completely different. Note:

The first line shows the entry for my NAS, which is usually switched off.
The folders all reside in the root folder of the relevant disk, but that is not required -- you can specify subfolders if you wish.
The "Documentaries" folder tree is too big for any of my disks, so I have had to split it into two parts "A-M" and "N-Z", which reside on different disks ("I:" and "J:" respectively).
Similarly, "Drama" should be in the "Entertainment" section, but when combined the resulting folder tree is too big for any of my disks, which is why "Drama" no longer resides in the "Entertainment" folder.
Finally, notice that three of the names in the "Name" column actually map to the same drive ("M:"), but to different folders on that drive.
The following screen shots show what you see when navigating the "Videos" folder tree. The first screen shot shows what you see on initial entry to the "Videos" panel, while successive screen shots show what you see when you select the item that has the focus. Selecting an item on the last screen shot starts playback of that item. The skin used is my own "Clarity" skin: In MP1, the folder names can be what you choose, but the files listed show the Windows file name. This is different from the "Recordings" folder, which shows the programme name. I have edited my file names (manually!) to add the series number and episode number to the file name (the "(01-nn)" strings in the file name). Hopefully MP2 will allow you to use a similar arrangement of files, but this will require some investigation and experimentation on your part. -- from CyberSimian in the UK
