    Hi

Has anyone with the 780G MB using onboard video under vista64 got EVR going when watching live TV?

I get flickering in the menus when OSD is up and after a few seconds Mediaportal Crashes. I am therefore limited to VRM9, however my CPU useage is constantly high around 80% with the odd stutter when watching live HD H264 TV using the bundled HVR2200 powercinema h264 codecs or FFDShow. I assume that buying powerdvd wouldn't help since the HA will only work with EVR enabled, so I would have to get EVR running before considering purchase of powerdvd. I understand that even if I can't get Full HA, i can atleast offload a greater proportion of the video processing to hardware rather than CPU.

If anyone has Vista EVR working nicely with a 780G MB can you please post
    1. MB Version / CPU / RAM
    2. ATI Driver version
    3. Vista 32 or 64 bit?
    4. Which H264 Codecs your using
    5. Your TV Card
    6. Approx CPU useage with live H264 TV

This is a known problem within Mediaportal. The bug was just shifted to 1.0 RC3. But I think there will be no solution (have to wait for Mediaportal 2?). Try CoreAVC and VMR9 - I have no stutters using this software codec.

You can also try other DVB applications (DVBViewer, DreamDVB...) - your system will run well using EVR with hardware acceleration (using PowerDVD 7 or 8) enabled. You will see no flicker or tearing and the cpu load will be under 10% with your computer.
