TV - HTPC Connection: DVI-HDMI adapter to Infocus IN76 / DVI to Acer AL2216W

My problem is that I dont get full screen movie no more when connects my HTPC to the Acer LCD monitor (1680x1050). :( I only get 1280x720 movie which has black border around the movie. I used to get the movie full screen (somehow my HTPC upscale 720p to match my LCD resolution) until I connected my HTPC to IN76 which has 1280x720 native resolution via DVI-HDMI adapter.

Please help me get my full screen movie back on my Acer. Thank in advance.

More info: movies I mentioned here are 720p Hi-Def movies (h.264/.mkv)

I have the same problem but this might be a fix, I'm still trying to verify that the quality stays the same:

While watching the video, right mouse click and chose Normal stretch mode (or try other modes until you have a full screen). I don't like to stretch or zoom original format as this normally reduce the video quality, but I think there a bug in the play back that uses the wrong ratio.

thematrixz: I tried that already. I get full screen. But as you said, I dont know whether the quality still be the same.

I just checked mine, I set video to play in Normal mode, the video will fill the screen, no quality lost.

It probably set to Normal at the beginning. (I cant remember the settings.) But once connected to the projector, the setting somehow has changed to "original". And it's not coming back to "Normal" when connects to LCD.

I'll keep "normal" setting then. Thanks for your help thematrixz.

Set the pixel ratio in the gui.
Settings, -> Screen Calib -> Screen Calib
Get the square as square as possible.
For example if I outputted 720x576 (pal) on my old widescreen CRT TV then I would have to set the pixel ratio to 1.42. Thus movies and icons don't look stretched.
