Codecs Problem playing AVI (1 Viewer)

Hello alle,

Yesterday i have started installing media portal on a old PC, to give it a try...

But now I have a problem: I can't play avi movies? I have tryed installing different codec packs but that didn't work. The strang thing is that i can play movies in WMP but not in PM?

Can explain what I should do to get MP play AVI movies and also displaying .srt files with vobsub?

Hi and welcome

I think logs and systemspecs are in order here (see my signature for "how to").

Btw, if you use a newer MP ver., then vobsub is not needed, as we have a built in sub-engine (that does not kill DXVA).
