Ok, forgive the example here, but two days this week, we have tried to record eastenders and it has not recorded... dont know why. The recording schedule was set up for DVB-T and at the same time we were watching DVB-S (seperate card) because we wanted to see Britains got talent in HD on ITV-HD.

I attach the logs in case anyone can give me an idea of why the recording failed... for info the recorded program is on at 19:30

Are you using RC4?

I also missed a recording (Soccer at 4:30am after I tagged it to record on the EPG screen). The program was "red" in the Guide, but no dice..
MP was still running the next day, it didn't crash or enter suspend or anything.

Interesting that I also have a Hauppauge Tuner (Nova-TD USB)

Search around and see if it may be related to Free To Air (FTA) and how many (setting CAM to 0, maybe?) you can tune at once...

Yes I am on RC4, It happens on both My Nova-T and My Nova-S2 i noticed. So Cam issues are not relevant i think. as K24A3 said, the recording shows as scheduled but it doesnt even attempt to record. I have no issues manually recording a show, its just timed recordings that the problem is with.

How did you set a schedule to DVB-T? MP bases what will be recorded on what card based on priority (amongst a few other things)

You need to attach all logs. These on their own are not giving the full picture.

There looks like there is something odd as it does not attempt to start recording until 19:53 but without the other logs there is just a gap with no info.

This level is only the number provided by the driver so could be rubbish but seems to be saying there is signal issue.

would again suggest that MP has card has been unable to get a strong enough signal to actually record it.


Also you seem to have all your satellite channels setup for EPG grabbing. I have a feeling that for FreeSat you need to set only a single channel (BritShorts / Sky background music or something?) for EPG grabbing? This could cause a bug that has been fixed for RC5
