[QUOTE="feriso, post: 347417, member: 70468"] This weekend I got my WinTV-NovaHS-S2 card connected to the satellite and I am finally getting the HD channels. Prior to using the HD channels I scaled-up all my SD channels (via freeview) to 1080p using ffdshow as a post-processor. Now in order to get HW acc working so I can view the HD channels I have to disable this FFD postprocess to use the PDVD8 codec other wise I get jumpy playback. If I set the mpeg decoder to be mpv and the h264 to be PDVD then all is fine and both plays back at their native resolutions. Now if I set ffdshow to be the mpeg decoder whilst leaving the h264 as PDVD I have a problem. When viewing the HD channels it ffdshow is still getting in on the loop somewhere as it is breaking the HW-decoding. Question 1 is... why is ffdshow doing anything on the h264 channel when it is set not to? :S Question 2 is... how do I set it that ffdshow is used for mpeg only (and I've set it to scale to 1080p) and has NO effect on h264 (HD) channels?
