Hi, I have previously used MPA as my audio codec, and the 5.1 surround sound works perfectly. I configure it in the directshow filter pane of the configuration tool. Due to a couple of issues, I have tried to switch to the powerdvd 8 codec. The directshow configuration pane is slightly different, but the only thing I can configure is the number of speakers. I have set this to 6, assuming that this is 5.1. However, when I do this, I am only getting sound from my front left and right speakers. There are far too many people using powerdvd codecs for this to be a real problem, but I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks, Mark
