No I did not apply an svn update and I did not change any cached files. I just change the xml files and delete the cache before I restart MP. But perhaps this will not occur anymore after I rename the skin.

Why is there a home.xml file if I should modify the myHome.xml and myPlugins.xml + BasicHome.xml files?

Yes I found the plugin. Will try it as soon as I am done writing this post
