I recently installed a Hauppauge NOVA-HD-S2 card in my PC
(Vista) and initially used it with WinTV v7 software provided
with the card. Later I installed MediaPortal and got it working
OK having uninstalled WinTV.
However, a few day ago I wanted to check out some details about
WinTV and reinstalled it. The problem is that now when I try to
use MP it does not "see" the card and scanning is not possible.
The card is listed under System-Device Manager-Sound and video
controller so I presume it is properly installed. I thought
WinTV might be locking up the card but uninstalling it makes no
difference.
I have of course tried uninstalls and reinstalls of both WinTV
and MP and and even re-installing the drivers etc to no avail.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks
