I have a fresh install of Media Portal 1.12.0

I am running under Windows Vista, with a Hauupage Wintv HVR 850 with current drivers installed. (This setup is working under Windows Media Center)

When running TV configuration I get an error "please install a supported audio/video encoder for your software analog card" ...
Not sure how to do this in Media Portal

Thank you for the quick reply!

I have the SoftMCE softare installed. I re-installed just to make sure. I still get the same error when trying to scan for channels. I've attached the logs from the watchdog tool.

Looking forward to getting this running.

Hmmm, that's... interesting. The log files don't show the files I'd have expected to see if the package was installed. I believe you when you say that you installed it, of course. Most likely thing is that Hauppauge changed what the package installs or how it does it since the last time I checked.

As a fallback option, please try the installers from this package:

Awesome! Thank you, that worked. It is scanning channels as I type.[DOUBLEPOST=1439449301][/DOUBLEPOST]Actually, it stopped scanning around channel 15. Now it gives an error "Tuner is locked. Scanning is not possible at the moment. Perhaps you are using another part of a hybrid card." The tuner has no light on (it usually has a light when it is being used).

    I've attached log files.
