Problem with Recordings (1 Viewer)

i have the problem, that in TV recordings every 10 or 20 minutes there is a
small skip in between is missing 5 or so seconds.of the video. what can i do to solve the problem?
i did a fresh install some months ago. then it worked a while. now ive got the same
problem again. im using parallel Kodi for watching recordings. using Kodi with some
cpu intensive addons for twitter. Can there be a connection
to, that the cpu is heavily used and because of that there are these skips?

We can't help you if you don't provide logs in debug mode.

here are the logs. i updated mp from 1.12 to 1.14 but the problem is still there. the recorded tv show "heute-show" from 2016-04-29 has for example the problem with skips inside

I am a confused by your logs:

I can't find anything relating to starting and stopping of recordings - this might be related to the fact that you are using Kodi, which we are not supporting.

The other thing is that your logs are really full of entries like

Note that all these streams are simultaneous.

Actually there is no log from 29-04, the oldest one (TVService.4) is starting on 30-04. This is kind of weird since normally a new server log is only created if either the service is restarted or the file size exceeds approx. 4 MB - while your's are only some 450 kB in size.

The fact that the same TV show gets recorded in multiple pieces suggests that something is happening on the server. This could either be a break-off of the tuner signal, a stop of the service itself followed by automatic restarting or maybe an overloaded system. The event log is not showing anything like a service restart. UNfortunately your logs don't cover the respective time frame.

Could you stop the service please, clear the log directory, restart the service, record a show and then collect new logs?

I think the problem is probably caused by running out of space on your recording drive. There are many entries like this in the TsWriter log file:

The 112 part is the Windows system error code:

...but not fast enough.

I suggest you do one or more of:

1. Clean up your E: drive.
2. Record on C:, D:, G: or H:, which all have more free space than E:.
3. Increase the disk quota minimum free space setting. The free space check runs every 15 minutes. Your current minimum free space setting (512 MB) is too low, because 512 MB can be filled in approximately 7 minutes by a single HD channel recording. You probably need to set it to at least 1.25 GB x [maximum number of simultaneous recordings] for safety.

I don't think so. As far as i know the rtsp access from within the Kodi plugin is broken since a very long time.
Normally the plugin uses unc via a shared folder to access the recordings.

You're talking about the client side plugin for KODI, but I was talking about the server side plugin for TV Server.
I wouldn't know if the client side RTSP support is broken, because I don't use KODI... but it wouldn't matter even if it is. I still know that KODI is setting up those streams, and that's all that I was trying to say.

Thanks for your suggestions so far. i try to expand my disk quota. i put it on 5000mb(4 Tuner x 1,25=5000). in the meantime i made a fresh setup for the tv settings, and changed from pci dvbt dual tuner cards to two usb dual tuner sticks. but the problem was still there. lets see what the disk quata changiings do.[DOUBLEPOST=1462175575][/DOUBLEPOST]new logs after some more recordings. disk quota and disk cleaning is not considered.


UPDATE: It seems that changing at the disk quota section solved the problem. since one day no problems. i will further take a look on it. thanks to the experts for help.
