Hi Everyone,

I am newby to mediaportal, so I apologize in advance if this has been covered already somewhere.

The basic problem I am having is that I am unable to get my X10 "mp3 remote" (Model UR51A) working with MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC.

I connected the receiver (MR26A) to COM1 and double checked that the port is on in the BIOS and the red light is on the receiver.

I've installed the snapstream driver as directed to from the "Remote" page of the configuration. The status message on that screen now says that "The X10 Driver is Installed".

I've selected "other" as the X10 remote type.

I clicked on "Learn" and the on "Start Learning"

However, here no matter how many buttons I press on the remote, nothing happens - no learning so to speak.

The remote has new batteries, i pressed the "PC" button and the red light on the remote blinks every time I press a button.

So what am I missing?

Edit 1:
BTW, I checked the configuration.log file and it doesn't show any problems!

2007-06-25 14:59:47.703125 [Info.][Config Main]: x10Remote:Initialized

Edit 2:
I now confirmed that the receiver is receiving some kind of RF signals at least. I opened a serial session to com1 and observed that each press of a remote button generates some kind of consistent data.

This appears to eliminate the receiver as the suspect and leaves the particular x10 driver.

I've posted somewhere in the forum...I guess that you need to install BOOM 2000 from X10 web site. After I install BOOM 2000, I can use my X10 "mp3 remote" (Model UR51A) which connect to MR26A receiver. Anyone know how's to uninstall the snapstream driver? I've both snapstream driver and BOOM 2000 in my PC and not very like it. Good Luck.
