trouble adding and importing new videos 1. I added 2 videos and clicked on 'update database from selected shares' (Setup->movies->movie Database-> Scan tab) 2. It took around 10-15 seconds to get the correct name and pdate them. 3. I went ahead and dumped ALL my videos (around 470 -480) on the selected shared folder. 4. I did NOT run the update DB thing again after adding the new movies. 5. MP didnt pick up the new stuff :( 6. I went and deleted the share from Setup->movies->Movie folder , but i kept d:\ (the DVD drive) because MP requires atleast one folder. 7. I started MP and obviously no videos were found in the videos section 8. I quit MP 9. I added back the share i had removed (in step 6). 10. I didnt 'update the DB after adding the folder because there are a TON of different filenames and videos that i KNOW are not on IMDB : international stuff and indian movies (yes!) 11. I started MP and there are no videos under My Videos :( 12. I quit MP and went to Setup->movies-> movie database 13. Tried to 'Update Database' (like step 1) and this is where the issue is .. it takes FOREVER to import things and there is NO option to actually want to import anything.. i mean just read the directories and add it to the list... Step 13 is the issue. 1. MP tries to import IMDB / OFDB / some other DB info .. it tries its best and if you check the 'update to the closest match' option, things go haywire esp fo rinternational movies. 2. There is no option to switch off the auto lookup IMDB 3. I havent found any option to directly add directories of videos to MP. Hmm.. hope this helps. BTW.. MP is KICKASS otherwise....:) sorry.. didnt want my first post to be a user issue .
