Have all the necessary items.

Get following message when trying to install:
This setup requires .NET framework version 1.1.4322.

downloaded version : MP 0.2.0.0 RC1
Windows : XP 64 bit
CPU : Intel D 930
mem : 1 G
TV card : Hauppauge WINTV-PVR-150
Installed : DirectX 9.0c, Microsoft .NET 2.0

What am I missing and how do I install ?

Hi Timsca

I am not 100% sure about this but I think it might have something to do with the problem that you are currently experiencing

"This setup requires .NET framework version 1.1.4322. " Message is referring to .NET framework 1.1 SP1 not being installed on your system. Not sure if you have the 1.1 SP1 update downloaded or not but this is what the message is referring to. It can be downloaded directly from microsofts website at www.microsoft.com/downloads or if you have automatic updates installed and configured you can goto www.windowsupdate.com and download it (faster) from there.

Also with regards to MP 0.20 RC2 it says as part of the pre-installation info that you must have both .NET 1.1 and .NET 2 installed (not recommended to uninstall .NET 1.1) if you do uninstall .NET 1.1 first that might also give the above message so you would need to reinstall .NET 1.1 (preferably .NET 1.1 SP1)

Hope this helps to solve your problem

Good luck with it :)

hey kucksta_downunder,
I think you will find if you have xp64 bit then just install from fresh a copy of .net 2 x64, then when you do that install MP RC2 and you should get any errors whats so ever, should work first time. the catch is you may have a sweet working version of MP with 64 like i did , but i could never get the TV module to work with it, just would never play anything, you may encounter the same problem as i had, as MP currently doesnt' support the usage of x64, but good luck

thanx

hey kucksta_downunder

Thanx for the tips. Uninstalled .NET 2.0. Installed .NET 1.1 and 1.1 SP1. Reinstalled .NET 2.0 and MP and everything works :p . Should be added as installation instruction for all users with a clean 64bit installation.
