MediaPortal Version: 1.00 RC1
Windows Version: Windows XP SP2
External player: Zoom Player 6.00 Pro RC2 (also tried 5.02)

I'm having strange problems launching videos with MP:
E:\Leffat\+2001.A.Space.Odyssey.1968.iNT.DVDRip.XviD.AC3-NDRT\CD1\ndrt-2001aso.1968-cd1.avi
This file refuses to launch with the internal player or the external one. Although I have both -cd1.avi and -cd2.avi added to the database, it doesn't even ask which one of those I want to start. When i press play nothing happens. If I add the file to playlist and start it from there, it works fine with both players.

E:\Leffat\+A.Streetcar.Named.Desire.1951.INTERNAL.DVDivX-SChiZO\CD1\A.Streetcar.Named.Desire.1951.CD1.DVDivX-SCHiZO.avi
This file on the other hand starts fine with the internal player as well as the external one.

G:\DCDL\Leffoja2\All the President's Men - 1976\All.The.President's.Men.1976.DVDRIP.xvid.CD1.avi
And then again this one starts without any problems with the internal, but refuses to start with Zoom Player. It launches zplayer, but doesn't add the file to the playlist. I think this might be due to the spaces in the path name.

I can't get my head around this. I can see no difference between the first two files, but the other one just doesn't work. On the other hand I can't figure out what's causing the trouble openin the last file in Zoom Player.

With ZPlayer I'm using the parameters: /Q "/add:%filename%"
When I try it on command line (replacing the %filename% with full path to the file) the last file works perfectly and is added to the playlist, so there must be something wrong with how MP uses those parameters. The reason I'm using zoomplayer is it's ability to use custom graphs. I'm doing multichannel upmixing and adding some delay to subwoofer channel, which afaik isn't possible with MP itself.

The first file contains AC3 audio, have you got AC3Filter installed?

I am not sure what the problem could be with the last file as I am not familiar with the way you are opening the files via the commandline.
