here's one .ax to try, while I was debugging some Blu-ray issue I noticed that in some specific cases it is possible that the MPAR will fail to flush the old stream content from internal filters (sample rate converter). I spotted this since with MAPR + BDReader combo it will cause a deadlock. This probably is not going to fix the issue you are seeing but it is worth to try since the symptoms sound like they could be caused by the bug I just found.

Log should contain "MP Audio Renderer - v1.1.5 - flush test" as .ax version.

Will try but there's one thing I've realized this afternoon.
As I said this happens when changing from a channel with no dolby sound to a channel with dolby sound.
What I found out today is that once the sound has vanished switching to another channel without dolby sound
did not bring back the sound then.

    Nope, not working...
Could I cause this problem by a bad setup in the mpar config?
Is the mpar working at all for me anyway? I mean with my hardware setup?
I have to admit to be unsure for what cases mpar is useful.
My setup is the following: hdmi from intel hd 2000 to yamaha avr and further to the tv.

Compared your settings with mine, only difference is speaker setup, so that can't be it.

    Should work.
The biggest advantage or MPAR is the possibility to speed up the audio stream. This can be very useful when your TV isn't capable of 24P (but your Pana will definitely do that). An example: If your TV wasn't capable of 1080p/24, MPAR would speed up to 25FPS, so it matches your PAL system (25x2).
