Hi,

today I have installed my new fireDTV S2.
Now I have two cards, the fireDtv and a Haupauge Nova HD-S2.

I have the following problem.

example:

client1:
watching RTL on FireDTV

client2:
watching Pro7 on Haup.

now:
client3:
wants to watch RTL. It gets of course the fireDTV. But then the picture gets totaly destroyed.

Example2:
server:
recording RTL on FireDTV

client1:
watching Pro7 on Haupp

now
client2:
wants to watch also RTL -> picture gets totaly destroyed.

Example3:
client1:
watching Pro7 on FireDTV

now
client2:
wants to watch ARD on Haupp: ARD is stuttering all the time.

Example4:
client1:
watching ARD on Haupp

client2:
starts watching WDR on Haupp

now:
client1 start stuttering!!

Is there anybody who can help me??
I never had such problems with my mythTV under linux!!
Is there a way to get a stable client/server solution where many people can watch TV at the same time!

one more example:
client1:
watching RTL on FloppyDTV

client2:
starts watching RTL on Haup. -> client2 stutters!

No such problems here (using two firedtv c/ci and one cinergy dvb-t pcicard). I am able to watch TV with three clients at the same time without any problem (could not test with more than three clients).
In my mind, your problem is a network-based problem ?! All your examples incloses more than one client-connection. Say something about your network. Is it a W-LAN (802.11x)?

Did you check the cpu-usage while trying to watch with more than one client?

no, it seems not to be a network problem. I have checked the recordings meanwhile and they are also damaged.
Maybe this is a Bios-setting. In linux I had some problems when I activated the "optimal Performance" option in my bios.

    Mainboard: Asus P5VD2-X

I have tried both. WLAN and LAN.
    Same result.

I now have changed my bios-settings and it seems to be resolved!
Now there is just another problem:
When one client changes it's channel, all other clients get a litte stuttering for about 2-4sec.
