problems with codec (1 Viewer)

hi @ all

i have problems with the video codecs

dvd playback is not realy in dolby 5.1
(i use a soundblaster live with 5.1 and an external sony receiver)
i only get the same sound out of all speaker


my second problem is that i cant play svcd witchout an external player
i know that in standard way the wmp can not play svcd but is there somesthing i could do????

Hi,

for SVCD install the CDXA filter:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/CDXA_Reader.htm

For 5.1 perhaps some more infos needed.....e.g. what codec do you use for playback?

what infos do u need

äähhmm i tryed every single codec which is shown in the setup of media portal

i had the same problem with win dvd
only with power dvd i could hear real 5.1

i don`t use a digital output
i use the 6 seperate chanels analog

Hi,

you can change the audio decoder settings for some of the codecs:
Configure->Decoder Filters

E.g. MPA Decoder: Decode to speakers 3 Front + 2 Rear
