Since I was having problems with playing MKV files, sound would not sync with the picture and sometimes the picture was choppy. So I follow the how to on how to play mkv files in MP, found in the forums, and now I cannot play them at all anymore. I downloaded CoreAVC hoping it would solve problems but it did not.

Now my MKV files wont play with CoreAVC and FFdshow. When I try to launch a file in mp it simply goes to blackscreen and after a few seconds back to mp.

Can anyone help me properly configure my codecs and mp.

And while we are at it. I almost never have any subtitles in any mkv movie, not when they are external, neither when they are suppose to be in the mkv file.

thnx,

Above is the easiest way to get everything working as it should, before you start though run filmerit (link in sig) and check for errors, padlock key unlocks and allows you to repair any filter errors on your system (bug button), reboot and run filmerit again, just to be sure all problems gone.

    Welcome to MP :)

Thnx that helped me fix everything. I can play mkv files properly now. Although I did have to use the CoreAVC codec for the HD movies instead of the ffdshow to get rid of the sync problems.

And I am still stuck with displaying subtitles, external and embedded. Any ideas on that?

*Ignore last message. Everything works perfect, including the subs. I love this program :)
