Hey guys,I have a HTPC I been using for a while now. I'm getting annoyed of MP because of the resources it hogs. I'm gonna upgrade the HTPC to a 2.8 Ghz Celeron but i'm not sure if that would still lag. I'm experiencing lag when i change the chanel (fps lag) and it takes a while to change a channelCurrent SpecsMobo: Asus P4TEProc: P4 1.8GhzRAM: 512MB RDRAMGPU: NvIDIA 5200Anyway, I was thinking if i just upgraded to a celeron 2.8 it would be a cost effective solution. The problem is, that the mobo is old, but it's the same pin needed for the celeron. Would it be able to work if i buy the celeron, and would it lag with a celeron 2.8? I'll be recording TV, And maybe** using HDTV.EDIT: Oh, and what if i installed windows 2000, would media portal run smoother?

Current Specs
Mobo: Asus P4TE
Proc: P4 1.8Ghz
RAM: 512MB RDRAM
GPU: NvIDIA 5200
