AW: Re: Project "Add a new room to your configuration"

Please be aware that ION is not capable of doing 1080i HDTV (it can do 1080p though). You should go for a more powerful solution if you need it, or use the TV with hdready resolution.

ASRock ION can do 1080p, why not 1080i? 1080i is a "lower" profile.
My old HD Ready TV had 702p or 1080i, but not 1080p resolution.
So 1080p is higher than 1080i...

You're talking about resolutions, I'm talking about the media the broadcaster publish.

1080i media requires deinterlacing, that is more GPU power. To deinterlace 1080i the GPU must take each frame of 720 lines (odd and even) and combine them together in two consecutive frames.

That's why TV for PC is 50fps where normally 1080p pal is 25 (or 24 for blue ray).

I have and ION ASROCK 330 by myself and I can assure you from sperimenting that it can not do 1080i at least with vector adaptive deinterlacing and output to fullhd resolution, you will get a lot of frame drops. To see 1080i TV you can use hdready resolution or you can try to lower deinterlacing quality or you can disable deinterlacing but you will not get the same quality.
