Did you plan to put case fans btw? If so, how big fans, 80mm, 92mm, 120mm..?
If this is discussed earlier, sorry, don't remember seeing it then.

I just had an idea for HDD air flow to be good, assuming you're still going for HDD's on bottom of MoBo.. But that idea would require few fans.

I could perhaps try to draw the "idea" i had... with paint!

Flat as in flush with the surface? Yes sounds good, but hard to know exactly without a picture..
