Synopsis::

TV mode only shows a black screen with the options to enable tv and to enable timeshifting disabled. Video from the capture card does work without problem in the Media Portal setup application and in the Hauppauge WinTV2k application. I have tried this with all of the Video codecs for television, which include:

Mpeg2Dec Filter
Dscaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder
Intervideo Non CSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge
Cyberlink Video Muxer
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Decoder

I installed the current drivers at a later time and was previously used the drivers shipped on the cd, and the newest release of the drivers from the Hauppauge support site.

Thank you in advance for your help on this.

    I had the exakt same problem as u.. after uppgrading to RC4.

    I found out that the problem was that i could not get picture when using the build in Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Decoder .

    I had to use Intervideo Non CSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge
    as TV codec.

    Does anybody have a solution to that problem?

    ( It worked fine when using RC2)

    I'm just starting to look at MP as a replacement for my current PVR software - it no longer supports the hw TV-out on the PVR-350. Am I mistaken, or does MP not support the PVR-350 TV-out either? Thanks.

    I also have the PVR-350 but I have (almost) never used it's TV-out port.

    The only use I could think of, is (1) If you have a very low-end PC that cannot really decode TV with software (but then you are maybe very low-end to run MP at all), (2) If you want to have all "controls" on your vga TV-out and only TV through 350 TV-out (MP AFAIK doesn't support such functionality), (3) if you don't have a TV-out on your VGA card (would be weird for a media PC).

    Which is the case with you?

    BTW, in the (very near) future TV-out is dying anyway.
