Hello everyone,
I'm using MP 0.2.3 RC3 on my machine.
Recorded DVB-S Streams playback fine.
Now I have recorded a TV Channel that is broadcasting very high bitrates (German ZDF, 3 Audio Tracks, approx. 4-6 Mbit average bitrate).
On playback I noticed that picture & sound are slightly out of sync. I'm talking about 0.5 seconds max.
Might the filesize be a problem? The recording is more than 3 hrs long, the file is approx. 10 GB in size.
I tried various decoders and noticed that it is worst with ffdshow, and better for example with the decoder called DScaler s.th.
On channel recordings with lower bitrates, there are no sync problems.
I also haven't noticed problems on channels that also have a high bitrate like ARD, but I also have a 1hr recording to test here.
Has anyone else noticed that problem?
Is there a solution available?
The problem also occurs if playing back the file in Windows Media Player (which of course uses the same codecs...)
I might try playing it back on another machine via LAN soon and post an update then.
Thanks for your answers.
Heiko
