I was searching for answer for the following quastion.

what is better, and why, webEPG or DVB-EPG?

I do want to do the following:
I want to grab every EPG information that I can get for the TV station I am watching (plenty of different European Stations from BBC and ITV, over ARD and ZDF to TVE and some Balkan TV stations). my thinking was to first import the data for so much days I can get, over the webEPG. Then fill up the holes with DVB-EPG (if existing). and maybe, if this is true, update the collected webEPG data with the DVB-EPG, because I believe it could be more actual and precise then the webEPG.

what do you think about this? am I missing something?

Not sure whether it is the same for Germany, but for UK, webepg gets far more information than the dvb-t epg + you get 14 days worth from the RadioTimes website.

Downside, a lot of Channels are the satellite ones, which broadcast 24\7, against dvb-t transmission of 12 hours :(, of course the dvb-t epg is correct for these, so when I set these particular channels up, I enable the dvb-t epg to overwrite.

This works particularly well with ForTheRecord, which has settings exactly for this type of situation.
