Hi

Can I ask, since I have not yet got my MP running yet...

Does the DVD cover art work in in the same way as the music ie folder.jpg hidden within the DIR of the film

And whats the size since I was thinking if to small then when played back on a large HD TV it's not going to look none to good...

Any advice welcome

Noddy

    Hi
There are two ways to get cover arts. JPG-Files with the same name for each movie file ore import cover art via imdb import (file-submenu). When you want to use your own files, the resolution depends on your screensize. I use pics with 500x350 pixel. MP scales them down to use in screen-menu.

    HI quake2rambo

OK can I ask are you saying that the name of the jpg should be the volume name given on each disk since these vary, and some are the same ie DISK 1 etc

Is there anything else I have to do within MP to see these...

    Thanks Noddy

You can place the JPG-files in the same directory as the movies ore use the database within MP-cofiguration ore in MP the submenu (press F9) and import datas from imdb-database. Which way, its on you ... When exists more than one file of a movie (ie name_CD1, name_CD2), MP is able to recognize this and ask which file is to play.

    Hope this helps everyone

    OK

I have got my images in place now and I thought I would mention
how I have done it so as to make it a little easier to understand.

Firstly your going to need your DVD COVER ART
Google name of the film under the images or I found some under tescos
but ensure you click the enlarge as you want the biggest image you can get.

    Name of your cover art
If you name your cover art as "folder.jpg" ensuring it's already in that
format else covert it to jpg. This can get very tricky it you have trilogys
or more than one film so best to have your DIRECTORY TREE place prior.

    (Main path to Quadrillogy)
PATH TO YOUR DVD COLLECTION\MYDVD\ALIENS QUADRILLOGY\ If you have a multicover Art image for all you should place it here.

(Main path to Quadrillogy > Films)
PATH TO YOUR DVD COLLECTION\MYDVD\ALIENS QUADRILLOGY\1 ALIEN Ensure you name the folder as what you want to read and not VOLUME of the DVD.

PATH TO YOUR DVD COLLECTION\MYDVD\ALIENS QUADRILLOGY\2 ALIENs Ensure you name the folder as what you want to read and not VOLUME of the DVD.

PATH TO YOUR DVD COLLECTION\MYDVD\ALIENS QUADRILLOGY\3 ALIEN3 Ensure you name the folder as what you want to read and not VOLUME of the DVD.

PATH TO YOUR DVD COLLECTION\MYDVD\ALIENS QUADRILLOGY\4 ALIEN RESURRECTION Ensure you name the folder as what you want to read and not VOLUME of the DVD.

    (Inside your DIR your have)
PATH TO YOUR DVD COLLECTION\MYDVD\ALIENS QUADRILLOGY\1 ALIEN

    Inside is
    folder.jpg (Cover art)
Video_TS (Contains all your DVD files
Audio_TS (Sometimes not present, but there never is nothing inside the folder)
1_ALIEN_DISC_1 (Empty Folder with the Volume name that was on the upper DIR level is there case I need to know the Volume name)

That's it you need to repeat these for all the other's however if you use the same layout as in 1 ALIEN then but place this in the upper
level of your DIR then your be able to access the DVD dir from the Root menu

That's all I hope this helps and makes things a little easier to understand.

    Enjoy
