Question about Media center services (1 Viewer)

I am trying to configure Media Portal 2.

My pc is running Windows 7 pro. My video recording card is WinTV HVR-1850



I am a total novice to Media Portal 2



I have finally found the configuration screen. Why doesn't the documentation state it is a separate program?



My question: In additional 3rd party checks it says:

Microsoft Media Center services

Status : services running

What do I need to do about this?

As long as the media center service is running, MP2 can not access your TV tuner card. You need to stop the MediaCenter Service in Windows control panel and disable it so it did not start on next boot. Or you can remove Windows Media Center from your installation. This also stops this service.
