Question about MediaPortal and WMC for live TV (1 Viewer)

From some light reading of these forums, I know I can't use MediaPortal and the SiliconDust HDHomeRun PRIME. I love MediaPortal and would like for it to be my main media center but what I'm hoping for is some elegant way to switch between MediaPortal and WMC. I'd like to start in MediaPortal and switch back and forth between the two for TV watching. Any suggestions would be great.

Also if anyone has codec recomendations for MediaPortal please let me know. I seem to have really slow playback, if any at all, of dvd's and some videos. Have the shark codec pack and cyberlink codecs so if there's something I should focus on or redo let me know.

Well I think the part of switching could be done with a keyboard shortcut or some programed keys at least
ALT+Enter will switch between windowed mode and fullscreen for both MP and MCE
So if you have MP set to open in windowed mode on startup and MCE will open fullscreen by defult and by hitting ALT+Enter
should switch to the opposite and again to go back.

This is all in theory so just do a quick test, I would but MCE is disabled on every PC I have and would require a restart to enable

You can use the IRSS plugin to do this by using this macros "%{ENTER}"
