Question about video playing (1 Viewer)

Sorry, really new to this and I have a lot of doubts.
Does mediaportal only play my divx movies using WMP ?? can I select a different player ?? has MP his own player ???
If only WMP I guess I will have do install a lot of codecs .Right ???
