Question on TVServer service (1 Viewer)

Hello,

for my understanding one of the main features using the TVServer 1.0 is, that TV-card handling,
recording, streaming,.. is separated from the client and implemented as a service running in
the background.

I did some recording tests for which the system needs to wake up from standby (S3).

There I noticed the following scenario, which I do not understand:

- If I schedule the recording in MP and put the system into standby mode from MP,
system wakes up and recording works fine.

- If I put the system into sleep mode from the windows (vista32) start button, also everything
is OK.

- If I log off (or log in as a different user) and put the system into standby,
the system does not wake up anymore.

So my question - is this a normal behaviour ? From my understanding with the TVServer running
as a service, recording/wake-up should also be possible, if no user is logged in or if another (not MP)
user is logged in.

Is that correct ? Or it it necessary to be logged in as the user, which runs MP and maybe even MP
Client needs to be running ?

I use the TVServer power scheduler plugin.

Thanks,
Markus

Sounds like your service is connected up against your account. So if you logg out it also shuts down the service. Not sure if that is the problem, but just an idea.

Hello,

maybe - I'll check this, but if that should be the case, it would be the way it was installed
by the MP 1.0 RC3 installer.

Hmm ok, it's probably not it then, that is just something that some people set up to be able to record to other computers.
