quitting configuration.exe while scanning music databasedata does not work

Reproduce:

1 delete music database
2 configuration.exe
3 re-scan music folders
4 while scanning and updating database, press cancel
5 quit config.exe

now, the config.exe still runs in the background and is still updating the database ???
