Many years has passed, but it seems to me that Radio section is still the same.
If I remember correctly, the programming of radio section was simply derived from tv section.
If you try to record a radio channel, the resulting .ts contains video, and the file is stored in recorded tv secrion.
There are problems in building the graph (that is made for tv and not for only audio).
There's no possibility to record dirctly, but you have to open radio guide.
For software analog cards changing channels is very slow (10 seconds).
I still use a patched mpfilewriter made by mm1352000 that works with 1.5.0 pre, and raise speed to 3-4 seconds.
I think it's time to rewrite completely radio section.
Tell me if I have to post somewhere else, to speak directly to interested developers to give them suggestions and testing.
