Hi,

Don't know if I can/should post this "bug" because I'm not using MP's TV Engine (using FTR's Argus instead), but I'm wondering if other people are having problems playing radio as well, with TVE, after tsreader has been used to watch live tv first.

I really hope somebody can tell me it's a bug in MediaPortal and not deleting my post because I'm using FTR!

  • When I start MediaPortal and go directly to radio, radio is working. I can even switch channels, radio is playing as it should!

  • When I start MediaPortal, turn on tv, stop tv and try to listen to the radio, it gives me the error "unable to play: <filename>.tsbuffer" (filename is the name of the card beeing used)

  • When I copy the radio ts buffer to my videos section, the file plays after 10 seconds (!), plays the x seconds of buffer and crashes MediaPortal when the buffer ended.

Could it be tsreader is corrupting itself/something after it has been used to watch television first ?

As long as I can remember radio never worked that good with MediaPlayer in the past (also without FTR beeing installed).

Attached 2 files with logging, radio_ok.zip (start MP and go directly to radio) and radio_notok.zip (watch live tv first).

Stupid question I know, but where if the radio coming from, dvb or web (post url used).

I have 2 installations one with FTR and one without, so can do a bit of testing on this.

It's coming from FTR's own TV Engine (Argus), but I think everyone should have this problem, whatever they use as tvengine.

Well the last time I tried playing radio (dvb-t) was with RC2 + FTR, pretty sure never seen the problem you described, but will try switching from TV to Radio when I get back home, just to be sure.

ps. do us a favour and fill in your system specs and enable them in your usercp.

Can confirm radio will not play after watching tv, but the bad news is, this only happens on my FTR install.

My standard MP install same hardware\OS works fine, over to dvdfreak I think.

Posted this on the FTR forum with link back to here.

hmmm, weird indeed, talked with the FTR team about this issue before I posted it here earlier today, but okay, let's hear them again ;)

Strange indeed since I just use the global g_Player to play the stream, the same as the original TV plugin does it I would think. This needs more investigation...
