Hi

I have not used the template as I don't think my hardware is relevant.

So here goes.

When you install MP the 1st time you run it, a wizard starts which gives you the chance to tune TV and Radio automatically. If you fail to do so there appears to be no way to auto tune after that, e.g: using MP Setup.

I need to autotune my radio channels again. Can you tell me is there a way to either get autotune up again or to make MP run the Wizard that runs at 1st so that I can re-tune my radio!

Any help really appreciated.

By the way, MP really is the dogs rude bits! Thanks for such an fantastic peice of software!

Regards!

    Hi,

but that doesn't find all radio stations. I use DVB-S, and there are a lot of radio stations (e.g. Antenne Bayern in Germany) which are not found by Auto tune.

Is there a way to enter them manually? I didn't find something. And if not, is there something planned for the future?

You can always enter them manually in the radio database file (RadioDatabase4.db3). It's true that radio dvb scanning was better in previous versions. Personnaly, I just keep my old RadioDatabase4.db3 :).
Maybe in the future, we'll have a dedicated radio tunning tab in configuration.exe.

Thanks for the reply. I already had a look at the database, but there are a number of tables which have relationships to each other. So, entering stations manually isn't an easy task.

Can you shortly explain what has to be entered into which table?

I think having a frontend for this would be a good idea for newer versions of MP :)

In table "station" you need to fill the ChannelNr, the Frequency, idChannel and strChannel and then copy the rest from a previously autotunned radio station to match the new ones you enter.

In table "tblDVBSMapping" you need to fill the frequency, the symbolrate, idChannel and strChannel and then copy the rest from etc...

In table tblChannelCard, just match your idchannel with card.
