Hello all,

First of all let me say what a wonderfull product MediaPortal is! I'm new on this forum, but i've been using MP for a long time now. Recently i upgraded to 1.0 RC1 with the TV server and i must say, i love it. I can now watch tv on my laptop too hah, just great!

Anyways, unfortunatly i do have a little problem of which i hope someone can help me with. It seems that the TV server is not automaticly updating my tvguide. The tvguide.xml is automaticly created every day on a share. All the MP's (i have 3 computers running MP here), load the tvguide via that share. Now 2 of the computers are still running MP 0.2.3. No problem there. But with my MP 1.0 RC1 the tvguide does not get updated automaticly. When i press the force update button in the TV Server Configuration XMLTV plugin window, it does gets updated without a problem. The text in that window says the TV Server will check every minute for a new tvguide.xml and then automaticly updates the database. This seems not to happen.

To clarify, my tvguide.xml does get updated, using tvxb. Mediaportal 0.2.3 automaticly updates the tvguide when the xml gets updated. Mediaportal 1.0 RC1 does not.

I have mapped the channels as suggested in other topics, and a manual forced update works fine.
My friend who is also using RC1 with a similar setup says his tvguide is also not being updated automaticly.

I would include the log files, but i cant find any log file relating to this.

Does anyone have the same problem or better yet, a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Appearantly the problem has something to do with the tvguide.xml being stored on a network share. I created a script that copies the xml from the share, after the tvguide is updated, to the local drive and pointed the xmltv tv server plugin to that location and that fixed the problem.
